A model sometimes called a mannequin, is a person who is employed to display, advertise and promote commercial products (notably fashion clothing) or to serve as a subject of works of art.

Paola Ibarra has worked in the financial department of DRCLAS since 2006 as the coordinator of Faculty Grants at the Center. She was born in Mexico City, and she worked six years at the Foreign Trade Bank of Mexico (Bancomext), a development institution in charge of promoting exports and imports related to Mexican business. In 2000 she obtained an MSc Development Studies from the London School of Economics and Political Science. She also holds a BA in Business Administration from ITESM-Mexico, and currently she is engaged in the ALM Program in Literature and Creative Writing at The Harvard Extension School.

Types of modelling include fashion, glamour, fitness, bikini, fine art, and body-part models. Models are featured in a variety of media formats including books, magazines, movies, newspapers, and TV. Models sometimes are featured in movies (Looker, Tattoo), reality television shows (America's Next Top Model, The Janice Dickinson Modeling Agency), or music videos ("Freedom! '90", "Wicked Game", "Daughters").
